As an extension of the Louisiana Bankers Education Council, LBEC Ambassadors will promote financial literacy and support future banker development. Ambassadors are LBA member bank employees who want to network with Louisiana bankers and be involved in the Louisiana banking industry. 

Ambassadors will work with current LBEC councilmembers to promote LBEC events and opportunities by:

  • Attending one annual Ambassadors meeting, typically held during IMPACT Conference in January
  • Committing to participate in at least two of the following programs per year (self-reporting)
    • Attend and promote LBEC regional fundraisers. Three regional fundraisers are held per year, each in a different region. Examples from 2023 include:
      • Bowling Fundraiser in Lafayette
      • Sporting Clay Shoot in Benton
      • Golf Scramble in Marksville
    • Attend Bankers Day at the Capitol with LBA typically in April or May of each year—click here for information.  
    • Participate in and promote 365 to Rich Bank Shadow Day—click here for program details.  
    • Participate in and facilitate Financial Literacy Programs in local community. Examples include (click on the names for more information):
    • Promote the Young Banker Impact Award within your bank—click here for award details
    • Promote, attend and help plan the IMPACT Conference
      • Held in January of each year
      • Bankers Building Confidence, Capacity and Connections
    • Contact universities and facilitate the Cookies & Careers in Banking initiative on college and university campuses.

Louisiana Bankers Education Council will:

  • Keep track of ambassadors’ activities
  • Recognize Ambassadors during the IMPACT conference every January
  • Take a group picture each year
  • Promote Ambassadors in LBA publications and social media
  • Maintain a list of active Ambassadors
  • Communicate with Ambassadors throughout the year
  • Encourage bankers to become LBEC Ambassadors
